●The subsidiary company of a renowned Group headquartered in Singapore, with regional operations in the Southeast Asia. This subsidiary is in the Financial Services business providing enterprise financing solutions to SMEs and corporate clients.
●The Risk Department manages the risks arising from the Firm’s SME lending business.
●As the Head of the Risk Department, the candidate will have overall responsibilities to oversee the Credit Risk Management; Collections; Factoring Audit; AML / CFT Compliance; and Special Asset Management functions within the business.
●The candidate will have responsibilities over the following functions:
■Identifying and evaluating client onboarding and continuance risks;
■Performing credit assessment on prospective and existing clients and counter-parties;
■Conducting periodic factoring audits; and
■Managing the restructure, work-out and recovery of non-performing loans.
●To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to possess a proven track record of at least 10 years in SME lending (held both Sales and Credit functions with experience in factoring, mortgage and unsecured loan products); has deep expertise in credit risk management, financial analysis, possesses proficient knowledge of accounting principles and is comfortable with reading and interpreting financials.
●At the same time, the candidate shall possess current knowledge of and has hands-on experience in regulatory compliance areas such as KYC/CDD, Sanctions Screening and STR reporting. The candidate shall also play the role as Money Laundering Reporting Officer in the firm. Added experience in NPL management and recovery would be a strong plus.
●Pre-requisite qualities includes being able to develop positive relationships with others, lead a team, has strong work ethics and genuinely committed with good initiatives, is reliable and possesses effective communication skills.
●A recognised degree from a reputable university. Post graduate qualification would be a plus.

Credit Risk Management
●10+ years’ SME lending and credit approval experience with significant experience in lending to companies in building & construction, oil & gas, general commerce, and manufacture industries.
●Strong knowledge of industries and economic environment in the region.
●Strong and in-depth understanding of credit and business analysis.
2.For AML / CFT Compliance
●5+ years’ experience in similar role in the financial services industry.
●Possesses AML specialist certification with a recognized institution/association of a recognized professional body, would be advantageous
●Experienced in developing and administering internal controls and processes
●Ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of departments and business functions
3.For Special Assets Management
●Exhibits commercial approach to resolution of problem accounts.
●Familiarity with local legal environment and laws.
●In depth knowledge of credit and operations risk
●Excellent negotiation skills and able to analyse situations to strategize best course of action and deliver desired outcomes.
●Strong analytical capability and problem-solving skills, highly solutions-oriented.
●Self-motivated person with a high level of drive, dedication and desire to excel consistently.
●Able to multi-task and work under pressure, yet meticulous.
●Strong team player and able to work in harmony with other departments / business units.
●Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact with senior management
