Our Client:

●An international Freight Forwarder with presence in China.  Due to business needs, they now have a new opening for General Manager, to be based in Shanghai.

Main Responsibilities:

●Responsible for setting up and building a team comprising of sales and operations staff to serve customers with needs for Air & Sea Freight Forwarding for both Imports and Exports, Consolidation, Overland Transport, Contract Logistics & Customs Clearance.

●Responsible for ensuring profitability and smooth operations of the branch

●Build and maintain excellent relationships with the airlines, ocean carriers, local transportation companies and all other vendor relationships in the region.

Required:

●At least a good university degree

●At least 12-15 years of relevant experience in international freight forwarding for both exports and imports in China

●Experience in setting up a new branch will have a strong advantage

●Good network with carriers and other partners

●Good business acumen

●Strong communication skills and stakeholder management skills

●Effectively bilingual in Mandarin and English

●Able to travel extensively within China
