Netxus Global Partners with Sayling Wen Foundation for TalentNXT Fresh Program in Singapore

时间:2025-11-23

A Collaborative Effort to Develop Future-ready Talent

In August 2025, Netxus Global, a subsidiary of Wisenet Asia, partnered with the Sayling Wen Cultural & Educational Foundation to deliver the TalentNXT Fresh Program workshop in Singapore and Malaysia. The initiative brought undergraduate students from Taiwan to Singapore and Malaysia for an immersive learning experience centered on management fundamentals, cross-cultural understanding, and real-world industry exposure.

The Sayling Wen Foundation has long supported regional talent development initiatives. This year’s collaboration with Netxus Global further strengthened that mission, offering a structured learning environment designed to build early-career readiness.

A Structured Introduction to Management

The full-day workshop was conducted by Dr. Tan Kok Heng, who led students through the core principles of modern management. The session introduced the POLC framework—Planning, Organizing, Leading and Controlling—and explained how these functions operate in real organizational settings.

Students were also exposed to widely used management tools such as SWOT analysis, PESTEL, SMART goal-setting, and Gantt chart planning. These frameworks provided students with a foundational understanding of how managers make decisions, plan strategically, and organize teams in today’s complex work environments.

Leadership and motivation formed another key component of the workshop. Through established models such as Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, Herzberg’s Two-Factor Theory, and McGregor’s Theory X and Theory Y, students explored the human factors that influence workplace performance. These discussions helped bridge the gap between management theory and practical leadership behaviours.

Connecting Classroom Learning with Real-World Context

Beyond the classroom, the program included a site visit to a Singapore plant factory, giving participants direct exposure to one of Singapore’s emerging innovation sectors. The visit allowed students to observe how technology, operational systems, and talent capabilities converge in a real business environment.

This element of industry immersion aligns with Netxus Global’s focus on student career development and internship preparedness. By seeing how organizations operate on the ground, students gained a clearer understanding of the workplace expectations and skill sets valued by employers.

Supporting Wisenet Asia’s Broader Talent Development Vision

Although hosted under Netxus Global, the workshop contributes to the wider talent development objectives of Wisenet Asia. As a recruitment and HR solutions firm, Wisenet Asia has deep insights into the competencies sought by employers across the region. Critical thinking, communication, problem-solving, adaptability, and cross-cultural awareness remain top priorities for organizations navigating rapid change.

The program’s curriculum was intentionally designed to reflect these industry needs. By introducing students to real management tools and encouraging active participation, the workshop supported the development of future-ready competencies. The combination of academic learning, practical frameworks and experiential exposure created a balanced learning experience tailored to emerging young talent.

Strengthening Regional Education and Industry Partnerships

The successful execution of the TalentNXT Fresh Program demonstrates the value of strong cross-border partnerships in shaping the next generation of leaders. With the growing interest in Singapore and Malaysia as learning destinations, Netxus Global’s presence in both markets enables it to support structured programs that provide meaningful educational and cultural experiences.

Through this collaboration, both Netxus Global and the Sayling Wen Foundation reaffirmed their shared commitment to nurturing globally minded, well-prepared young professionals capable of contributing to regional and international talent ecosystems.

A Foundation for Future Growth

The TalentNXT Fresh Program delivered a comprehensive and engaging introduction to management for participating students, enriched by hands-on activities and industry visits. As Netxus Global continues expanding its student-focused initiatives, the organisation remains committed to supporting young talent through impactful programs that blend industry relevance, professional readiness, and global exposure.
