WiseNet Asia Founder Supports Business Times World Cup 2026 CEO Challenge for Arts Education

时间:2026-09-03

In July, WiseNet Asia Founder Wesley Hui joined 15 other Singapore business leaders in the Business Times World Cup 2026 CEO Challenge, a fundraising initiative in support of the Business Times Budding Artists Fund (BT-BAF).

Each participant was randomly assigned a team from the Round of 16 and pledged S$1,000 to back their side through the tournament. Wesley backed France. The challenge concluded on 20 July, when Spain beat defending champions Argentina 1-0 in extra time to lift the trophy. Together, the 16 participants raised a total of S$17,000 for the fund.

BT-BAF, managed by non-profit arts organisation TRCL, has supported close to 25,000 underserved children and youth aged 6 to 19 since its founding in 2004, through arts-based programmes designed to build confidence, expand skill sets, and develop character. Its initiatives include the Art of Play @ Schools programme and two arts training centres, The Little Arts Academy and 10 Square Youth Arts Academy.

“Supporting this challenge was an easy decision. It brought together a group of business leaders around a shared commitment, and the proceeds go directly towards giving underserved youth access to opportunities they might not otherwise have.” Wesley Hui, Founder, WiseNet Asia

As a token of appreciation, TRCL presented Wesley with a commemorative acrylic display featuring a custom football card and caricature.
