Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
Report and escalate to management as needed
Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
Improve overall processes including minimizing down-time, problem-solving and project management.
Drive and achieve quality of work in all aspects of maintenance and project activities and functions.
Lead and train Engineers & Technicians towards better performance, in both technical competency and capability.
To ensure that all equipment and machine are properly designed, selected, installed and commissioned
To establish and monitor programs for critical equipment analysis and condition monitoring techniques
To review and keep record of deficiencies noted during corrective maintenance.
To maintain and advise on the use and disposition of stock items, surplus items and equipment rental
Chartered professional engineering of a recognized institution (E.g: BEM Malaysia, Project management Institute or equivalent)
Minimum of 15 years’ experience in biofuel, petrochemical, oil & gas or similar process industry and minimum of 10 years of construction management experience as a construction manager
Proven previous experience in similar project delivery during EPC phase
Knowledge of EPC industry, constructability knowledge and contract management on nominated sub-contractors (NSC)
Knowledge of department budget process and tools, project controls, risk assessment/ management
Familiar with International Standard including China (GB) standard
Administrative policies and procedures & construction project management systems
Must be fluent in English; proficiency in spoken & written Mandarin will be an added advantage as frequent communications and correspondence with colleagues in the Greater China region will be required.
